In the current situation of water bodies, resource scarcity and high environmental awareness, water reuse is becoming essential.
Within water reuse, membrane technologies have become increasingly used system with very promising future. The membrane bioreactor (MBR) can simultaneously treat and regenerate wastewater to fit most of uses permitted by law.
The evolution of this technology is taking place every day, therefore is necessary to acquire or update the knowledge on these waste water purification –regeneration processes.
Aim
The course focuses on practical aspects of MBR plant optimisation, from initial design stage, up to commissioning and start-up phases, while some key aspects regarding membrane theory and applications in wastewater treatment are explained for newcomers. Over 12 teaching modules are dedicated to the Design, Installation, Operation, Maintenance and Control strategies used in MBR plants for wastewater treatment.
Hollow Fiber,Flat Sheet and Multitube MBR products are reviewed, and some Case Studies are best used to feature the most energy efficient MBR systems.
Who should ENROL ?
WATER PROFESSIONALS and LAST YEAR ENGINEERING STUDENTS.
