The increasing number of water treatment and water reuse systems, requires a greater number of qualified technicians and operators to manage successfully these important facilities.
A key part of the issues to manage is to prevent occupational and health hazards over the plant personnel in their daily work.
This course will present to the attendees an overview of the most important aspects of risk preventive management at wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP’s).
Aim
During the first part of the course, a general overview of the wastewater treatment processes is provided. The tutor also presents the most common risks and preventive measures linked with O&M tasks at such facilities
Also, the course explore important issues such working in confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres (ATEX Zone), biohazards or chemicals handling.
Finally, delegates will also understand, the basic principles for preventive management in WWTP, analyzing the necessary action to be taken (coordinating business activities, procedures, etc.).
